Chump’s Comedy

Chump’s Comedy

ft. Phil Wang, Fatiha El-Ghorri, Michael Odewale, Lou Wall, hosted by Amy Annette

Having exploded onto the scene in 2023, Chump’s has quickly gained a reputation as one of the most-exciting comedy nights in the UK by bringing a diverse mix of household names and the best new acts to buzzing sold-out crowds!

Line-up:

Phil Wang
Philly Wang had a huge 2024 completing a massive tour culminating in a sold out Hammersmith Apollo and then releasing his second Netflix special ‘Wang In There, Baby!’.

You may have seen that or his his previous Netflix special ‘Philly Philly Wang Wang’, or seen him on Live At The Apollo, Taskmaster, Have I Got News For You, Graham Norton or David Letterman… or in WONKA singing and dancing with Timothée Chalamet!?

He’s also one of the best comedians the UK has produced over the last decade, it’s just a shame he’s so tall (oh noooo)!

Fatiha El-Ghorri
Fatiha initially disguises the fact she’s a menace to society with her colourful hijab. But the moment she walks on stage, it’s clear she’s on a mission! Smashing the Muslim stereotypes and challenging the way people think about Islam, Muslims, and Muslim women especially.

She won Best Debut at the Leicester Comedy Festival in 2023, and has made appearances on The Jonathan Ross Show, The Russell Howard Hour, Outsiders, Guessable, Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled, Mel Giedroyc: Unforgivable, BBC New Comedy Awards and lots more. Fatiha has also made several notable appearances on podcasts, including Off Menu (a must listen) and The Guilty Feminist.

Michael Odewale
Michael Odewale has fast gained recognition for his distinctive comic style (including wining a BAFTA). A fresh and unfiltered voice known for his sharp and beautifully executed delivery. His debut show #BlackBearsMatter won Best Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival and achieved critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe, earning him a nomination for Best Newcomer in the Edinburgh Comedy Awards.

In 2022 he released his first stand up special Michael Odewale: Live at Soho Theatre for Amazon Prime and has written on on a host of shows including Cunk on Earth (BBC), Death to 2022 (Netflix) and Ben Elton’s Friday Night Live (C4) and appeared on Live at The Apollo (BBC), Friday Night Live (C4) and Live from The Moth Club (Dave).

Lou Wall
Insufferably queer, distressingly current AND award winning (in that order) Lou Wall is back in the UK (they’re Australian) bringing their deranged powerpoints, gay (derogatory) musical comedy and mentally ill hot takes.

Hosted by:

Amy Annette
After years of working behind the scenes in comedy as a producer, script writer and podcaster, Amy took to the stage and made her long awaited Edinburgh debut in 2024. Amy is “a sparkling presence on stage” (The List), A Funny Women Award winner and she’s “one of my favourite comedians”, according to Aisling Bea. She has been a regular MC at Late ‘N’ Live and Best of The Fest at the Edinburgh Fringe, and has opened for Lou Sanders, Rose Matafeo and Nish Kumar on tour.
