The Jolly Fisherman
From the multi-award winning producers of London smash-hit Brixton Calling, comes a stunning new story. The story of Alan, Amir and England.
Inspired by true events in London’s East End, two boyhood best friends must hold tightly to their friendship as their worlds pull them further apart. This is a play about who we are now and the places we call home. Starring Alex Hill (global Fringe-phenomenon Why I Stuck A Flare Up My Arse For England) and Jonny Khan (Olivier-nominated The Shitheads).
Every year, one show rises from the chaos of the Fringe and demands to be seen. Wild Card holds a place in the Fringe Fix programme for a show – as yet undiscovered – to be selected in real time from the heart of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Edinburgh audiences and critics have loved The Jolly Fisherman. We are delighted to welcome this production as our Wild Card choice for this year.
This show is part of Fringe Fix – a cracking handpicked selection of shows we think you’ll love from this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
